On January 30, officers at the Austin Peay Station were notified by the victim that an assault had taken place.

According to the female victim, she was driving back home with the suspect who was also her live-in boyfriend, Larry Hinds.

Per reports, Hinds had been drinking heavily and was accusing the victim of flirting with another person.

Hinds began to hit the victim while she was driving and continued until they reached home.

When they arrived home, Hinds grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill the victim and her dogs.
