Woman Held Against Her Will Escapes Situation

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 2300 block of S. Red Bank Road just before 6:00 last night for an assault in progress.

The victim told authorities that she was being held against her will.

She was able to flee the scene to a nearby residence and was no longer in danger.

Deputies determined after an investigation that they had probable cause to arrest the subject for multiple offenses.

A brief stand-off ensued after the subject refused to comply.

Deputies left the scene around 8:30 with no arrest made.
