6 month old in critical condition after being shot in head by grandmother police say




 LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKEF) — An Ohio grandmother is accused of shooting her 6-month-old grandchild in the head.



According to Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones, around 1:50 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a residence in Liberty Township.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the infant had been shot in the head. The child was in critical condition and was immediately transported to UC West Chester Hospital, where they remain at this time.


Jones said the suspect of the incident, Mia Desiree Harris, ran from the scene scene before deputies arrived, but was later located and arrested without trouble a short time later. Harris has been identified as the child's grandmother.


Police also said during the incident, Harris shot at several family members before intentionally shooting 

Harris has been charged with three counts of felonious assault. The charges are subject to change as the investigation continues.
