Wisconsin prisoner accused of beating her cellmate to death was allegedly driven to kill because she thought the victim was using her toothbrush to clean their toilet.

Taylor Sanchez, 28, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide Monday in connection with the death of fellow inmate, Cindy Schulz-Juedes, a 68-year-old convicted murderer, according to authorities, WLUK-TV reported

It’s unclear if Sanchez entered a plea to the charge.

On July 19, 2023, Schulz-Juedes was found bloodied and unresponsive in their shared cell at the Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, the criminal complaint stated, according to WITI-TV.

"I was hearing voices telling me to kill her," Sanchez allegedly told a corrections officer, the outlet reported.

Sanchez called her mother after the incident and allegedly confessed she killed Schulz-Juedez at the direction of the voices in her head.

“I stopped taking my meds and I started hearing voices again." Sanchez allegedly said in a recorded prison phone call, according to the complaint. "I thought she was using my toothbrush to scrub the toilet. I thought she was using my stuff to wipe the floor, and I thought she was messing with me.Schulz-Juedes — who was serving a life sentence for the 2006 slaying of her husband, Ken Juedes — suffered from several skull and rib fractures. She died as a result of trauma to the head, the medical examiner determined, WSAW-TV reported.

Sanchez was in the middle of a two-year prison stint for battery when she allegedly killed the victim.
