SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — An Indiana woman was charged with murder in connection to her daughter's death, according to court documents.
Court documents note Lee made several statements while alone in an interview room. She allegedly said, "I did that to my child."Police responded to a call of a shooting at a home on Sunday. According to court documents, the caller "indicated that his mother had called him and stated that she shot his sister."
Police said they found Lee inside the home when they arrived at the scene. Lee indicated her daughter had been shot.
Lee said she was in a verbal altercation with her daughter, Zawondra, when she retrieved her gun and shot her, according to the documents.
Lee is currently in custody and being held in the St. Joseph County Jail with no bond.
