Fish swimming with cockroaches, other deplorable conditions found in SC home, deputies say

 swimming with cockroaches was just one of the deplorable conditions deputies said they found inside an Anderson County, South Carolina, home that led to three arrests for ill-treatment toward animals.

This investigation began in November at a home on Master Drive, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the Animal Control Unit executed a search warrant at the home and found more than 20 pets living in deplorable conditions.

Throughout the house, deputies said they uncovered more animals, including three large rabbits in a bird cage, fish swimming with cockroaches, guinea pigs, kittens, and more.In total, five dogs, three rabbits, two doves, two doves, two guinea pigs, a beta fish, a turtle, a chicken, 4 kittens, plus several cats.

Dianne Cricket Osborne, 55, is charged with eight counts of ill-treatment toward animals and one count of failure to bury a deceased animal. Osborne was released on a $25,000 surety bond.

Gladys Ruth Lindley, 38, is charged with 15 counts of ill-treatment toward animals and one count of failure to bury a deceased animal.

Wallace Eugene Johnson, 46, is charged with 15 counts of ill-treatment toward animals and one count of failure to bury a deceased animal. Johnson and Osborn remain inside the Anderson County Detention Center on a $46,000 surety bond
